The Nursing Assistant Training Re-Certification Program is designed to re-train individuals whose prior BNAT/CNA certification has expired. The program prepares individuals to deliver direct client care, in long-term care facilities, home healthcare settings, clinics, doctor’s offices and hospitals, under the direction of a registered nurse. The course of study provides the opportunity to acquire knowledge and skills used by nursing assistants. Clinical training for all students will be held at participating healthcare facilities.
After successful completion of the program, graduates will receive a certificate of completion and will be eligible to sit for the Illinois state exam. NUR 101 meets the requirements and guidelines set by the State of Illinois Department of Public Health for Basic Nurse Assistant Training Programs.
